Tanzania's universal health insurance
Tanzania's Universal Health Insurance Act was passed in 2023. A parliamentary committee later reported an annual financing gap of Sh489.5 billion for full implementation — the kind of gap that costing and financing analysis must address.
Growing regional HTA networks
A regional AfroHTA network developed with the KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Research Programme, and Africa CDC's Health Economics Programme, are building the foundations for evidence-informed priority setting across the continent.
